About Saint Hugh of Grenoble School
Welcome to St. Hugh of Grenoble School in Greenbelt, Maryland. St. Hugh School is a parish sponsored school that provides an exceptional educational experience for grades K - 8 based on the Catholic philosophy of education. Our academic curriculum meets or exceeds all requirements of the State of Maryland and in 1994 we received accreditation by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
Established in 1949, St. Hugh School continues to grow. With a dedicated, professional teaching staff, active families, and a supportive parish, we are proud of our history of excellence and service. Our highly structured academic emphasis is balanced by instruction in music, art, and physical education. We also offer Latin for the upper grades. Our advanced computer technology is being integrated throughout the curriculum with the use of state of the art equipment and guided Internet access for all students. Graduates of St. Hugh are well prepared for high school and all their future endeavors. Our warm, caring environment and pastoral setting is home to children seeking a place of learning and faith and love.

Mission Statement of St. Hugh School:
The mission of St. Hugh School is to uphold and teach effectively the Catholic faith. With Christ and his teachings as our foundation, our primary academic goal is to educate the whole child so that the children are prepared to answer the vocations to which they will be called. Acting as images of God, our children are also encouraged to develop a genuine concern for the needs of others and to promote the dignity of the human person.
